- Make sure that the payment card connected to the subscription has enough credit on it to cover the payment.
- Check the payment card connected to the subscription and, if necessary, replace the card with a new one: open your valid HSL ticket and select “Subscription”, or select “More" > “Settings" > “Season ticket - Auto-renewing saver subscription / Auto-renewing subscription". Add the new card and select it as the active payment method of your subscription.
- If the card you are adding is new, make sure that you have activated it by using the PIN code for instance at a retail shop or an ATM (usually required before the card can be used for online purchases). You should also check the settings for your card in your online bank: have online purchases been allowed and has a spending limit been set for them?
- If you are unable to solve the problem by following the above-mentioned steps, delete the app (before doing so, make sure that you do not have any valid single or day tickets, as you will lose them), restart your phone and download the app again. Log in to the app with your HSL account and reauthenticate with your online banking credentials or a mobile certificate. Follow the instructions given in the app. After this, open the settings for your auto-renewing subscription or auto-renewing saver subscription and select “Subscription". Add the card again and select it as the active payment method of your subscription.
