In Matinkylä, the lifts and escalators will only be closed for the setup and dismantling of scaffolding. Between these, the lift and escalators will be in service.
HSL and the Metropolitan Area Transport Ltd, who is responsible for the work, will provide more information about the entrance closure in August sometime in July. The maintenance work will not affect Metro services.
The date when the scaffolding will be dismantled has been confirmed. The access will be closed between Monday 9 and Friday 13 September.
While the entrance is closed, you can access the Metro via the other entrance located on the Tynnyritie and swimming hall side (entrance D)
The easiest route between the bus terminal and entrance D is via Tynnyritie and Markkinatie.
If you arrive by bus to the Matinkylä terminal, you can also reach entrance D by walking from the stop for arriving buses to the bus terminal doors. After passing through the doors, turn right to exit the terminal. After that, turn right and walk along Suomenlahdentie to the Metro entrance.
Access routes between the Metro and Matinkylä bus terminal and Iso Omena shopping center from 1 July to 7 July
Route B on the map, i.e. route via Tynnyritie and Markkinakatu, is the shorter of the two recommended routes. The route starts from the exit next to bay 10 at the bus terminal and continues from the exit straight along Tynnyritie past the swimming hall and high school to the Metro entrance.
Route A on the map starts near the stop for arriving buses at the bus terminal.
One entrance closed at the Aalto University Metro Station from mid-July
At the Aalto University Metro Station, the entrance on the university and shopping center side will be closed between 15 July and 25 August. The entrance will be closed due to maintenance work on the fire alarm system and lighting. Similar work is currently underway at the Tietotie entrance, which has been closed from early June.

During the work, you can access the Metro via entrance B on Tietotie. The maintenance work will not affect Metro services.
Route to the Metro from the Aalto University Metro Station main entrance and light rail stops from 15 July
The shortest route from the main entrance on Otaniementie (entrance A) to the Tietotie entrance (entrance B) is via the A Bloc shopping center and Biologinkuja to Tietotie.
