Improvements to services in 2024

In 2024, we invest in improving public transport services. We will improve services on many routes and modes of transport. The next improvements will take effect from 28 October 2024 when our commuter trains will start running more frequently.

More frequent services

I, P and K trains will resume their normal timetable on the Main Line and Ring Rail Line. In addition, the weekend service frequency of I, P and K trains will increase.

Changes from 12 August 2024

  • I, P and K trains will return to regular timetables and routes. At the same time, all I and P trains will again start running the whole line from Helsinki via Helsinki Airport back to Helsinki. During the track work, some trains have terminated at the airport instead of running the entire length of the line. In addition, all trains will resume serving Vehkala station.

 

  • I, P and K trains will run every 10 minutes also on Mondays to Saturdays from 7pm to 9.30pm, and on Sundays from 10.30am to 9.30pm

 

  • There will be changes to the timetables for bus routes  560, 561, 562, 571, 574, 583, 584, 587, 600, 614, 617, 623, 624, 624N, 633, 643, 643K, 665, 665A, 665K, 721, 721N, 731, 731N, 734, 736, 736B, 739, 961, 961B, 963, 965, 965K, 967, 967K, 971, 971B, 972, 973, 975, 975N, 976, 977V, 978, 978K and 985.
