You can remove a beneficiary from the HSL Business Portal if, for example, their employment relationship has ended.

To remove a beneficiary, go to that particular beneficiary’s information.

  1. Find the beneficiary on the “Beneficiaries” tab.
  2. Click on the beneficiary’s name on the list.
  3. In the information view, scroll nearly to the end of the page. Click “Remove beneficiary” at the left on the page.
  4. Confirm the action.

When you remove a beneficiary from the HSL Business Portal, you also end their benefit, unless you have already done that. The tickets purchased by the beneficiary will be shown on the reports without the beneficiary's name also after you have removed the beneficiary from the service. If you need to examine information on the tickets the beneficary in question has purchased later on, you can print out the last purchase report before the beneficary was removed from the HSL Business Portal.

If you later want to restore a beneficiary in the Commuter Benefits service, you can do that in the Add beneficiaries view in the usual way.

If you have fixed-term temporary employees for whom the benefit must be activated and withdrawn at regular intervals, it is advisable not to remove the beneficiary, but to use the Edit benefit or End benefit functions. In this way you can easily edit a beneficiary’s benefit and activate it in the Beneficiaries view without needing to add the same beneficiary in the service time and again.
