Changing the benefit type

Select the beneficiary or beneficiaries you wish to edit. Then select “Edit beneficiaries”. Select “Benefit type”. When you edit one beneficiary, the beneficiary’s current benefit type is shown as active. If you edit several beneficiaries at the same time, the help text will tell you the current benefit types of the beneficiaries you wish to edit.

Changing the benefit type from season ticket to mobility budget

When changing the benefit type from season ticket to mobility budget, select “Mobility Budget” as the benefit type. Once you have done this, the “Amount of budget” selection is activated and you must set a new amount of mobility balance granted.

If the beneficiary has already used the mobility earlier in the year and the beneficiary has not previously used all of the budget available, you can also keep the beneficiary’s existing amount of budget. In this case, the budget granted to the beneficiary earlier in the year will be returned to the beneficiary.

Finish by saving the changes. The beneficiary will then receive an e-mail indicating that the benefit type has changed. The beneficiary’s current season ticket will be valid until the end of the current 30-day period, after which the ticket will no longer be renewed. However, the beneficiary will immediately have access to the mobility budget.

Further information: If the beneficiary has used the mobility balance earlier in the year and you use the function "Set a new amount of budget granted”, please ensure that the amount of budget to be allocated is greater than the amount of the budget already used by the beneficiary this year. (For more information, see the section on editing the amount of budget.)

Changing the benefit type from mobility budget to season ticket

When changing the benefit type from mobility budget to season ticket, select “Auto-renewing season ticket” as the benefit type. Once you have done this, the “Zones” selection is activated and you must select the zones for the beneficiary’s season ticket.

If the beneficiary has had a season ticket before, the help text will tell you which zones had previously been granted for the beneficiary.

Finish by saving the changes. The beneficiary will then receive an e-mail indicating that the benefit type has changed. The mobility budget for the beneficiary will be deactivated immediately and the beneficiary can activate the season ticket on the HSL app. To activate the season ticket, the beneficiary must buy a season ticket via the app and select HSL commuter benefit as payment method.
