Metro
There are no planned changes to the regular Metro service. However, various repair, construction, and maintenance works will cause service changes in 2025, particularly between Itäkeskus and Vuosaari. We will provide replacement services during the works.
Vuosaari and Rastila Metro Stations will be closed between 5 May and 28 September due to the renovation of the Vuosaari Metro bridge. During this time, the Metro will terminate at Puotila station.
Replacement bus 99V will run between Itäkeskus (M), Rastila (M) and Vuosaari (M). Bus route 98 (Itäkeskus (M) – Marjaniemi – Rastila (M)) will be run every 10 minutes instead of every 20 minutes on all days of the week.
We will provide more detailed information about the changes to Metro services in the spring.
Trains
From August 2025, A trains (Helsinki–Leppävaara) will start running every 10 minutes instead of every 20 minutes on Saturdays between 10.30am and 6pm and every 15 minutes between 8.30am and 10.30am.
We will add one new Y train service from Siuntio to Helsinki and from Helsinki to Siuntio on weekdays from 11 August 2025, scheduled after the morning rush hour. Additionally, the daytime Y train services will be rescheduled to operate at the beginning of the afternoon peak. At other times, a feeder bus service will be provided between Kirkkonummi station and Siuntio.
The new Y train service from Siuntio to Helsinki will depart before 10am and from Helsinki to Siuntio before 9am. In the afternoon, the Y train will depart from Siuntio after 3pm and from Helsinki after 2pm. There will be no other changes to Y train services.
From 30 March 2025, the U train service departing from Helsinki after 11pm will run to Kirkkonummi instead of Siuntio. Correspondingly, the 0.28am L train from Siuntio to Helsinki will depart from Kirkkonummi. The change is made due to low passenger numbers between Kirkkonummi and Siuntio.
