- The original dates have been postponed. The lifts and escalators will be closed between Monday 23 and Friday 27 September. Earlier it was reported that the closure would take place between 9 and 13 September. However, the lifts and escalators will be in use as usual during this time. The closure had to be postponed due to a delay in the maintenance work carried out in the station. We apologize for any inconvenience the change may cause.
The lifts and escalators from Matinkylä Metro Station to the shopping center will be closed from Monday 23 September to Friday 27 September. The lifts and escalators will reopen on Saturday 28 September.
During the closure, the scaffolding erected for roof maintenance at the beginning of July will be dismantled.
The work will not affect Metro services.
During the closure, you can access the Metro via the other entrance located on the Tynnyritie and swimming hall side (entrance D)
The easiest route between the bus terminal and entrance D is via Tynnyritie and Markkinatie.
If you arrive by bus to the Matinkylä terminal, you can also access entrance D by walking from the stop for arriving buses to the bus terminal doors. After passing through the doors, turn right to exit the terminal. After that, turn right and walk along Suomenlahdentie to the Metro entrance.
Access routes between the Metro and Matinkylä bus terminal and Iso Omena shopping center from 23 to 27 September
- Route B on the map, i.e. route via Tynnyritie and Markkinakatu, is the shorter of the two recommended routes. The route starts from the exit next to bay 10 at the bus terminal and continues from the exit straight ahead Tynnyritie past the swimming hall and high school to the Metro entrance.
- Route A on the map starts near the stop for arriving buses at the bus terminal.
