There will be changes to tram routes and timetables from Monday 2 October. The diversions of tram routes 2, 7 and 9 will be removed and the trams will return to Pasila. Tram 1 will also resume its normal route serving Mäkelänkatu and Käpylä. The tram routes have been diverted due to the construction of the Kalasatama-Pasila tramway.
Changes to tram routes
- Tram 1 will resume its normal route serving Mäkelänkatu and Käpylä. The diversion route to Vallila will be removed.
- Tram 2 will return to Pasila, but its terminus will be at Messukeskus. At Pasila station, the tram will stop at the stops on Pasilansilta (bays 32 and 34). The diversion route to Ilmala will be removed.
- Tram 7 will be rerouted via Pasila to Meilahti Hospital. The tram will not run via Messukeskus in Pasila, instead it will run via Asemapäällikönkatu in both directions. The diversion route to Vallila depot will be removed and replacement bus 7X will be withdrawn.
- Tram 9 will resume its normal route to Ilmala. The tram will not run via Messukeskus. Night tram route 9N will also run to Ilmala. Bus route 23N will be withdrawn.
- There will be changes to the timetables of all tram routes. In addition, we are increasing tram services to Jätkäsaari on routes 1T and 8T on weekends.

Changes by route
Tram 1 to Käpylä
Tram 1 will resume its normal route serving Mäkelänkatu and Käpylä. There are minor changes to the stops on Mäkelänkatu: The "Uintikeskus" stop (H0271/H0272) has been moved to the other side of the Radanrakentajantie junction. In addition, the "Pyöräilystadion" stop has been withdrawn due to low passenger numbers.

Tram 2 to Messukeskus in Pasila
Tram 2 will return to Pasila, but it will now terminate at Messukeskus. The diversion route to Ilmala will be removed. Ilmala will be served by tram 9.
Tram 2 will run from Messukeskus to Pasila station, where it will stop at the stops on Pasilansilta (bays 32 and 34). The tram will not serve the stop on Ratapihantie.

Tram 7 to Pasila station and Meilahti Hospital
Tram 7 will be rerouted via Pasila to Meilahti Hospital. The diversion route to Vallilan depot will be removed and replacement bus 7X will be withdrawn.
The route from Hakaniemi to Sörnäinen, Mäkelänkatu and Pasila is the same as before, but in Pasila the tram will run in both directions via Asemapäällikönkatu and not via Messukeskus. In addition, the tram will no longer serve the "Uintikeskus" stop on Mäkelänkatu.
The new section of route will run from Pasila via Nordenskiöldinkatu to Meilahti Hospital. The route change is permanent and it is based on the tram route network plan. The tram will serve the following stops on the new section of route: "Palkkatilanportti" (H0629/H0630), "Eläintarha" (H0601/H0602), "Auroran sairaala" (H0639/H0640, Aurora Hospital), "Töölöntulli" (H0113/H0114) and the terminus "Meilahden sairaala" (H0131, Meilahti Hospital) located at Rosina Heikelin puisto, in the junction of Tukholmankatu and Haartmaninkatu.

Trams 9 and 9N to Pasila and Ilmala
Tram 9 will resume its normal route to Ilmala. Tram 9 will not run via Messukeskus in Pasila, instead, the tram will run straight along Asemapäällikönkatu. Night tram 9N will also run to Ilmala and bus route 23N will be withdrawn.
