Good to know about the campaign season tickets

  • Season tickets are personal. You need to strongly authenticate to buy a season ticket.
  • The discounted season tickets are only available for people who live in the HSL area or in the neighboring municipalities. Read more about the HSL area and zones.
  • You can set a start date for the season ticket within seven days from the moment of purchase.
  • The discount only applies to normal adult tickets. Additional discounts are not available on discount tickets (child, student 70+).
  • You can only get the discount on the HSL app or via OpenMaas interfaces such as Matkahuolto or VR’s app.

How to buy a 90-day season ticket on the HSL app

  1. Update the HSL app on your phone to the latest version.
  2. Open the HSL app on your phone and go to “Tickets”. More information about the HSL app.
  3. Select “Season ticket”.
  4. Log in using your HSL account (if you are not already logged in).
  5. Select the desired travel zones. Please note that you cannot change the zones of your ticket after purchase. More information about zones.
  6. Select customer group “Adult”.
  7. Select the duration of the ticket, i.e. 90 days.
  8. Select the payment method and go to payment.

When buying a season ticket on the app for the first time, you must strongly authenticate using your online banking credentials or a mobile certificate. Authentication allows us to verify your home municipality from the suomi.fi system so that you get a correctly priced ticket.

You can choose the season ticket to be valid immediately or set a start date within the next seven days. The discount applies to tickets purchased during the campaign period.
