The changes are part of a larger project
The track work is part of the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency's project to increase the rail capacity between Helsinki and Riihimäki.
The aim of the project is to increase the capacity of the busiest section of railway in Finland and to reduce the line’s vulnerability to disruptions.
Once the project is completed, the section of line between Kerava and Riihimäki will be four tracks.
On the night of Monday 3 March, the service changes are due to regular maintenance between Kerava and Riihimäki.
