The renovation work is part of a larger project

At the turn of the year, roofing work will begin on the second ticket hall and service building of the metro station. During 2025, the interior and exterior surfaces of the metro station will also undergo renovation in stages. Next summer, the lift and escalators in the second ticket hall, among other things, will be renovated.

The purpose of the renovation work is to make the metro station more pleasant and improve the reliability of various technical systems. For example, renovating the lifts will significantly improve the usability of the station, as the lifts have often had to be taken out of service due to malfunctions.

The renovation work has been planned so that it would cause as little disruption to public transport passengers as possible. The work will not affect Metro or bus services.

The Metropolitan Area Transport Ltd is responsible for the work.
