The most significant change to tram services in August is the launch of a new tram route. Tram 13 will run between Kalasatama and Pasila. Read more about the new tram route at hsl.fi/en/tram13.
In addition, tram 1 will resume operation, and tram 1T will only operate on weekends. As a result, the terminus of tram 9B will change in Jätkäsaari. There will be no other changes to tram routes, but tram routes continue to be diverted until early September.
Changes to tram services from 12 August
- Tram 1 will resume operation. Tram 1T will run on Saturdays and Sundays.
- From Monday to Friday, tram 9B will terminate on Tahitinkatu in Jätkäsaari. On Saturdays and Sundays, the terminus will be at the West Terminal.
- Tram 13 will start operating between Nihti and Länsi-Pasila. The tram network will extend to Kalasatama and Sompasaari.
- The service frequency of all tram routes will increase from every 12 minutes to every 10 minutes on Saturdays. We decided to increase the frequency because more and more passengers use tram services on Saturdays.
- Trams will switch to autumn timetables and operate a more frequent service, which entails changes to the timetables of all tram routes.
Tram routes 2, 3, 4 and 10 will be diverted from 2 September, when the Mannerheimintie renovation project proceeds to the next phase. For more information, please see our service update.
