Espoo City Rail Link project

Coastal Line train services were disrupted for five weeks from 24 June due to track work related to the Espoo City Rail Link project of the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency. Train services from Leppävaara towards Kauklahti, Kirkkonummi and Siuntio were suspended due to the line closure and the services were replaced by buses.

There will be short disruptions of one or two days to the Coastal Line train services in the autumn.

The Espoo City Rail Link project of the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency entails the construction of two new tracks between Leppävaara and Kauklahti. The work will continue in the coming years. As a result, train services will in the future run every 10 minutes from Helsinki to Kauklahti instead of Leppävaara as currently.
