More P and I train services between Helsinki–Huopalahti–Airport from 2 April

Starting 2 April, we will increase the number of P and I train services on the western section of the Ring Rail Line, that is, between Helsinki, Huopalahti and Helsinki Airport. The new services will operate mainly on Sundays. In the future, P and I trains will operate every 10 minutes on weekdays and weekends.

Starting 2 April, P and I train services will improve on the western section of the Ring Rail Line, that is, between Helsinki, Huopalahti, Myyrmäki and Helsinki Airport. Most of the new services will operate on Sundays between 10am and 7pm. During this time, the trains will run every 10 minutes. In addition, the trains will also operate every 10 minutes Monday through Friday between 5am and 10pm and on Saturdays between 9am and 10pm.

Starting 2 April, I, P and K trains will operate every 20 minutes on the eastern section of the Ring Rail Line due to track work in Tikkurila. Every other train on the western section of the Ring Rail Line terminates at Helsinki Airport. These trains will not stop at Vehkala. On the western section of the Ring Rail Line, the trains will operate every 10 minutes. In addition, the overall journey times of trains operating on the Ring Rail Line have been extended.

The changes are a part of a larger whole with the purpose of improving public transport services during 2024. The improvements will mostly affect evening and weekend services. The aim is to facilitate leisure journeys. More information on the changes.
