Longer operating hours and higher weekend service frequency for L trains from 2 April

We will extend the operating hours of L trains with a half an hour on Sunday–Thursday nights. In addition, L trains will begin operating every 30 minutes instead of the current 60 minutes on Friday and Saturday nights.

Starting Tuesday 2 April, we will extend the operating hours of L trains with a half an hour on weekdays. This means that the last L train will depart from Helsinki at 0.33am on weekdays. On Friday and Saturday nights, L trains will depart from Helsinki every half an hour until 4.03am. On weekends, the first L train will depart from Helsinki at 5.03am and from Kirkkonummi at 4.27am. The trains will continue to depart every half an hour until A trains start operating.

Stopping at every station, L trains operate between Helsinki and Kirkkonummi in the early mornings and at night. The new timetables are already available in the Journey Planner.

The changes are a part of a larger whole with the purpose of improving public transport services during 2024. The improvements will mostly affect evening and weekend services. The aim is to facilitate leisure journeys. More information on the changes.
