Changes and cancellations to I, P, K, R, T and Z train services at night 1–5 April

There will be changes to the Ring Rail Line train services and main line services between Kerava and Riihimäki in the evenings and at night between 1 April and 5 April due to track work. Train services will be replaced by buses 969X, 699X, 499X and 979X.

Service changes on the night of Monday 1 April/Tuesday 2 April

 

I trains

I trains will be cancelled on Monday evening 1 April due to maintenance work. The last I train will depart from Helsinki at 9.36pm and from Helsinki Airport at 10.04pm.

  • I trains from Helsinki via Tikkurila to Helsinki Airport at 10.06pm, 10.36pm, 11.06pm and 11.36pm and from Helsinki Airport via Myyrmäki to Helsinki at 10.34pm, 11.04pm, 11.34pm and 0.04am are cancelled.

You can get from Helsinki to the airport and vice versa by P train or by bus 600 and from Tikkurila to the airport by bus 570. For other alternative transport links, see the Journey Planner.

Due to the cancellations, AB tickets will exceptionally be accepted on P trains on  journeys from stations between Pohjois-Haaga and Vantaankoski to Helsinki via the airport (zone C). Likewise, BC and BCD tickets will be accepted on journeys from Tikkurila or the stations to the north of Tikkurila via Pasila (zone A) to Myyrmäki.

 

R and T trains

On the night of Monday 1 April/Tuesday 2 April, R and T trains will not run between Kerava and Riihimäki approximately from midnight to 4am due to track maintenance.

The last R train from Helsinki to Riihimäki will depart at 11.40pm and from Riihimäki to Helsinki at 11.55pm.

  • The 0.40am R train and 1.51am T train from Helsinki will terminate at Kerava station. Replacement bus 969X will depart from Kerava at 1.08am and 2.33am and run to Riihimäki via the intermediate stations.
  • The 2.55am T train from Riihimäki (from Jokela at 3.12am) is cancelled between Riihimäki and Kerava. The T train will depart from Kerava to Helsinki as usual at 3.32am. Replacement bus 969X will depart from Riihimäki at 2.48am (from Jokela at 3.18am) and run to Kerava via the intermediate stations. The 4.04am K train from Kerava to Helsinki will run as normal.

  • The 3.55am T train from Riihimäki will depart five minutes later than normal at 4am. The train will depart from Jokela at 4.14am and from Kerava, the train will continue to Helsinki at 4.32am as normal.

Replacement bus 969X

You can board the train replacement buses also through the middle doors. If you have a valid ticket, you do not need to show it to the driver. You can use the same tickets as for the trains when travelling on a replacement bus, i.e. valid HSL and VR tickets.

Service changes on the night of Tuesday 2 April/Wednesday 3 April

 

I and P trains

Some I and P trains will be cancelled on Tuesday evening 2 April due to maintenance work.

The last I train from Helsinki via Tikkurila to Helsinki Airport will depart at 9.51pm. The same train will continue from the airport via Myyrmäki to Helsinki at 10.25pm.

  • I trains from Helsinki via Tikkurila to Helsinki Airport at 10.11pm, 10.31pm, 10.51pm, 11.11pm, 11.31pm and 11.51pm and from Helsinki Airport via Myyrmäki to Helsinki at 10.45pm, 11.05pm, 11.25pm, 11.45pm, 0.05am and 0.25am are cancelled.

  • P trains from Helsinki via Myyrmäki to Helsinki Airport at 9.56pm and 10.26pm and I trains from Helsinki Airport via Myyrmäki to Helsinki at 10.36pm ad 10.56pm are cancelled. Every other I and P train will only run between Helsinki, Myyrmäki and Helsinki Airport due to the changes to the Ring Rail Line train services from 2 April.

T trains to Kerava will terminate at Korso station on the night of Tuesday 2 April due to track maintenance. There will be no train services between Korso and Kerava approximately between 1.30am and 4.30am.

The last R train from Helsinki to Riihimäki will depart at 0.40am and from Riihimäki to Helsinki at 11.55pm. On the morning of 3 April, the first T train from Riihimäki to Helsinki will depart at 3.55am.

  • The T train from Helsinki at 1.51am will terminate at Korso station. Replacement bus 699X will depart from Tikkurila to Kerava at 2.19am.
  • The 2.55am T train from Riihimäki is cancelled between Riihimäki and Korso. The train will depart from Korso at 3.38am. Replacement bus 699X will depart from Kerava to Tikkurila at 3.12am.
  • T trains will run from Riihimäki to Kerava 2.19am–2.55am and from Kerava to Riihimäki 3.02am–3.38am.

You can board the train replacement buses also through the middle doors. If you have a valid ticket, you do not need to show it to the driver. You can use the same tickets as for the trains when travelling on a replacement bus, i.e. valid HSL and VR tickets.

K trains

Between 10.21pm and 0.01am, K trains from Helsinki to Kerava will wait four minutes at Rekola station and run to Kerava four minutes behind their schedule.

 

Service changes on the night of Wednesday 3 April/Thursday 4 April

 

I and P trains

I and P trains will not run between Martinlaakso and Aviapolis from Wednesday 3 April about 10pm to Thursday 4 April 4am. Bus 499X will replace the trains from Martinlaakso via Aviapolis to Helsinki Airport and from the airport to Martinlaakso.

The last I train from Helsinki via Tikkurila to Helsinki Airport will depart at 9.51pm. The same train will continue from the airport via Myyrmäki to Helsinki at 10.25pm. After this, I trains from Helsinki via Helsinki Airport will terminate at Aviapolis station, where they will turn around and return to Helsinki as P trains.

  • I trains will run from Helsinki via Helsinki Airport to Aviapolis between 10.11pm and 0.31am. The trains depart at 11, 31 and 51 minutes past the hour.

  • P trains will run from Aviapolis via Helsinki Airport to Helsinki between 10.58pm and 1.18am. The trains depart at 18, 38 and 58 minutes past the hour.

The last P train from Helsinki via Myyrmäki to Helsinki Airport will depart at 10.06pm. The same train will continue from the airport via Tikkurila to Helsinki at 10.44pm. After this, P trains from Helsinki will terminate at Martinlaakso station, where they will turn around and return to Helsinki as I trains.

  • P trains will run from Helsinki to Martinlaakso between 10.26pm and 0.46am. The trains depart at 6, 26 and 46 minutes past the hour.

  • I trains will run from Martinlaakso to Helsinki between 10.57pm and 1.17am. The trains depart at 17, 37 and 57 minutes past the hour.

Replacement bus 499X

You can board the train replacement buses also through the middle doors. If you have a valid ticket, you do not need to show it to the driver. You can use the same tickets as for the trains when travelling on a replacement bus, i.e. valid HSL and VR tickets.

At Kivistö station, bus 499X will depart from bay 32 (V2364) in the direction of Martinlaakso and from bay 31 (V2365) in the direction of Helsinki Airport.

 

Changes to services on the night of Thursday 4 April/Friday 5 April

 

I andP trains

I and P trains will not run between Pohjois-Haaga and Vantaankoski from Thursday 4 April about 10pm to Friday 5 April 4am. Bus 499X will replace the trains from Kannelmäki via Pohjois-Haaga to Vantaankoskelle and back.

The last I train from Helsinki via Tikkurila to Helsinki Airport will depart at 9.51pm. The same train will continue from the airport via Myyrmäki to Helsinki at 10.25pm. After this, I trains from Helsinki via Helsinki Airport will terminate at Vantaankoski station, where they will turn around and return to Helsinki as P trains.

  • I trains will run from Helsinki via Helsinki Airport to Vantaankoski between 10.11pm and 0.31am. The trains depart at 11, 31 and 51 minutes past the hour.
  • P trains will run from Vantaankoski via Helsinki Airport to Helsinki between 11.12pm and 1.32am. The trains depart at 12, 32 and 52 minutes past the hour.

The last P train from Helsinki via Myyrmäki to Helsinki Airport will depart at 10.26pm. The same train will continue from the airport via Tikkurila to Helsinki at 11.04pm. After this, P trains from Helsinki will terminate at Pohjois-Haaga station, where they will turn around and return to Helsinki as I trains.

  • P trains from Helsinki at 10.46pm, 11.06pm, 11.26pm, 11.46pm,  0.16am and 0.46am will run to Pohjois-Haaga.

  • I trains will run from Pohjois-Haaga to Helsinki at 11.07pm, 11.27pm, 11.47pm, 0.07am, 0.37am and 1.07am. 

Replacement bus 499X

Replacement bus 499X will run between Kannelmäki, Pohjois-Haaga and Vantaankoski every 10–20 minutes.

Bus 499X will depart from Pohjois-Haaga to Vantaankoski from bay 11 located in front of the Pennikuja entrance to the station (“Pohjois-Haaga asema” H1600). In the direction of Kannelmäki, the bus will depart from bay 12 on Kaupintie (“Lassila” H1622).

Z train

On the night of 4 April, the 0.24am Z train from Lahti to Helsinki is cancelled.

Replacement bus 979X

Replacement bus 979X will depart from Lahti at 0.24am and run to Helsinki via the intermediate stations.
