The new terminal is located on the southern side of the Vantaankoskentie entrance to the Kivistö train station, right next to shopping center Kivis.
The new bus terminal will improve the passenger experience and facilitate interchanging between commuter trains and buses. The new terminal also has a waiting room that passengers can use during the opening hours of the shopping center. The waiting room has a direct view to the bus terminal.
The new terminal has six departure bays and a separate terminus by the train station entrance. There is a short walking distance between the terminus and the station platform area.

- Bay 11: 431 Elielinaukio, 433 Martinlaakso
- Bay 12: 443 Vestra
- Bay 13: 576 Tikkurila
- Bay 14: 444 Riipilä, 445 Reuna, 446 Kesäkylä
- Bay 15: 447 Kesäkylä, 561 Itäkeskus (M), 971 Kerava station
- Bay 16: 434 Keimolanmäki
There is a short walking distance between the new terminal and the Keimola bus stops on Hämeenlinnanväylä, which will improve the transport links in the area and facilitate interchanging between commuter trains, local and long-distance buses and regional services 453, 455, 456, 457, 459 and 465 to Nurmijärvi.
The new terminal will replace the old bus stops at the Kivistö station on the northern side of the station by Syväkiventie. The old stops will be closed permanently.
