Service changes for tram routes 4 and 5 on Thursday 13 July

Trams 4 and 5 will operate a reduced service on Aleksanterinkatu and in Katajanokka on Thursday 13 July between 11am and 6pm. Some services on tram route 4 will terminate at Kolmikulma. Services to Katajanokka will operate under route number 4T.

Trams 4 and 5 will operate a reduced service on Aleksanterinkatu and in Katajanokka on Thursday 13 July between 11am and 6pm. Some services on tram route 4 will terminate at Kolmikulma. Services to Katajanokka will operate under route number 4T.

Passengers travelling to the Katajanokka terminal are advised to allow an extra hour for their journeys because delays are expected to tram services. Tram routes 4T and 5 run to the terminal.

Changes to tram routes 4 and 5 on Thursday 13 July 11am–6pm

  • On tram route 4, about every other tram from the direction of Munkkiniemi will run from Mannerheimintie to Kolmikulma. In other words, Aleksanterinkatu and Katajanokka will not be served.  Correspondingly, about every other tram to Munkkiniemi will depart from Kolmikulma instead of Katajanokka. Services to Katajanokka will under route number 4T and their terminus is at the Katajanokka terminal.
  • Tram 5 will also operate a reduced service. The tram will run from Kolmikulma via the Central Railway Station and Aleksanterinkatu to the Katajanokka terminal.
  • In addition, the “Ritarihuone” (H0407) stop for trams in the direction of Katajanokka will be closed between 9am and 6pm.
