The terminus of tram 1 will move from Käpylä to St. Paul's Church (Paavalinkirkko) in Vallila on Monday 6 March. The route change is due to construction work on the Kalasatama tramway. The works are expected to continue until the end of September, after which the tram will resume its normal route.
The new terminus will be at St. Paul's Church, from where the tram will run via Hämeentie to Sörnäinen and Eiraa. The tram will serve the following stops along the diversion route: the terminus at St. Paul's Church ("Paavalinkirkko", H0329), "Vallilan varikko" (H0319 and H0320), "Hauhon puisto" (H0317 and H0318) and "Lautatarhankatu (H0315 and H0316).

Information about the arrangement
The works on the Kalasatam–Pasila tramway affect tram route 1 on Mäkelänkatu. In addition to track works and new traffic arrangements, works will be carried out to replace utility infrastructure at the Mäkelänkatu junction. As it is not possible to close the busy street to traffic, the works have to be conducted in several phases, which will lengthen the duration of the works. The works are expected to continue until the end of September.
