Changes to tram timetables from Monday 31 October

Trams will run a reduced service as of Monday 31 October. This is due to an ongoing staff shortage that has led to an exceptionally high number of cancelled services this fall.

Trams will run a reduced service as of Monday 31 October. A shortage of staff has caused an exceptionally high number of cancelled tram services this fall, which has made it challenging for passengers to plan their journeys. In order to provide a more stable and reliable service, we will make changes to tram timetables.

The amended timetables will be in place until 11 December. The situation is expected to improve as new drivers complete their training in December.

Changes by route

  • Trams 1, 2, 3, 6 and 8 have mainly run every 10 minutes. As a result of the changes, the above-mentioned trams will now run every 12 minutes.
  • Trams 4 and 10 have mainly run every 8 minutes. The above-mentioned trams will now run every 10 minutes. Additionally, the timetable of replacement bus 10X that operates in Pikku Huopalahti will also be changed so that it better corresponds with that of tram 10.
  • Tram 5 will not operate between 4pm and 5pm. You can also use tram 4 to get to Katajanokka. When arriving by tram 4, the nearest stop to the terminal is the “Vyökatu” stop (H0413/H0414) on Merikasarminkatu.
  • Trams 7 and 9 will continue to operate a regular service.

You can see the up-to-date timetables for tram services on the Journey Planner when you enter 31 October or a date later than that as the search date.
