We have developed a separate embedded search component for the Journey Planner that can be easily added to different web pages. The service can be used freely by everyone, such as companies and organisations. The idea behind the component is to improve access to transport services. Together with the journey planners for other regions and the national journey planning service opas.matka.fi, the service is available to everyone in Finland.
The Journey Planner component offers you several options to edit your search, such as language, mode of transport, origin, and destination. The current time is used as the default value in the search. By clicking on the Search route button, you will be redirected to the Journey Planner, where you can use more precise search options.
As a business owner, you can use the component to help your customers find a route to your premises more easily compared to just having a link to the Journey Planner on your web page. You can also change the mode of transport to exclude certain search results. For example, you can only search for routes suitable for cycling or walking instead of all the options offered in the Journey Planner.
Instructions for using the service
- Select the language you want.
- Select the width of the component (determines the width of the component on the web page).
- You can change the mode of transport to exclude certain search results.
- Select the origin and destination of the journey (you can also use prefilled values).
- You can use the preview function to see how the component will eventually look.
