Travel comfortably in spacious light rail vehicles

The service will be operated with 29 new ForCity Smart Artic X54 carriages.

The carriages are 34.5 meters long. They can accommodate 2–3 times more passengers than bogie buses ad 20 percent more passengers than the trams operating on the routes in central Helsinki.

Low floors and terminus announcements

The Artic X54 trams are fully low floor. The carriage floors are level with the stop platforms, making it easy to board and to alight.

We have tested the accessibility of the carriages during the planning process, for example, with representatives of disability organizations.

The carriages have air conditioning and doors on both sides.

The carriages will have terminus announcements. The carriages also have door lights, and arrows on the onboard displays indicate the door opening direction.
